When the Strong Are Struggling: A Message for the Helpers and Those in Need
Where are my strong people at?
I’m talking to you...the helper, the rock, the one people call when they’re in crisis, the one who always shows up. You’re the multitasker, the steady friend, the silent warrior who looks like you’ve got it all together, but may be barely holding on.
This episode is a real and raw message for those who are usually the ones holding others up, but rarely asked, “How are you really doing?”
In this episode, I share:
My personal experience as the “strong one,” juggling family, finances, and expectations
The emotional weight of launching a GoFundMe for my father’s $40K emergency septic repair
Why asking for help can feel like shame—and how we break that cycle
A call to check on your strong friends, because we’re not always okay
The power of creating a chain reaction of care
Too often, we assume people are fine because they appear strong. The truth is that Strong people need help too. Many are suffering in silence out of fear, pride, or pressure to perform.
If you’ve ever felt like you have no room to fall apart, this episode is for you.
Let’s normalize asking for help. Let’s give grace, listen deeper, and stop waiting for support to come from the top. We are the community and that community begins with truth, compassion, and connection.
🔥 You’ll walk away with:
The permission to be both strong and in need
A reminder to slow down before you burn out
The courage to give—and the grace to receive
A deeper understanding of what real support looks like
You are not alone. And you don’t have to carry it all by yourself.
🎧 Listen now and let’s get real, because this kind of conversation saves lives.

Are You Blocking Your Own Blessing? How Past Pain Can Sabotage Present Purpose
Why do we hold on so tightly to past pain? Why is it so easy to recall every betrayal, disappointment, and red flag and yet so hard to trust a new opportunity when it shows up aligned, prepared, and real?
In this honest and timely episode, I’m inviting you into a soul-deep reflection about the silent barriers we build...barriers rooted in fear, trauma, and generational stories that no longer serve us.
✨ What past experience is influencing your present choices?✨ Are you turning away from purpose because something feels familiar, even if it’s different?✨ Are you sabotaging your next level because you’re still operating from survival mode?
I share a recent, very real experience that forced me to confront my own walls and how I’m learning to choose discernment over distrust, and faith over fear. You’ll hear how a moment of second-guessing brought back memories of how I was once misjudged, and how that full-circle moment taught me compassion, understanding, and grace.
💬 Now, I want to hear from YOU.How do you break free from the stories that are no longer true? What’s your process for healing so you don’t block your blessings? This space is about collective wisdom and I know you have some to share.

In this episode of the KimUnity Soulutions Podcast, Kim the SME shared a very powerful speech called Leaders and Lions. If you've ever questioned what real leadership looks like in a world filled with noise, titles, and control tactics, this message is for you.
It's a message that challenges how we think about leadership...not just in title, but in energy, mindset, and intention. Kim challenges listeners to reflect on their own posture of power: Are you leading through inspiration or intimidation? Are you building bridges or walls?
In this episode, Kim breaks down the difference between reigning, ruling, and leading and invites you to check your posture, because true leadership doesn’t require a stage or a mic...it’s quiet strength.
This message is a call to shift; not just how we show up in the world, but how we serve it. The world has enough lions. It’s time for more leaders who reflect purpose, unity, and heart.
💭 Question: How do you lead?  💬 Drop a comment with your biggest takeaway, tag a leader who inspires you, and share this episode with your tribe.

Welcome back! In this episode, we go even deeper into the truths behind leadership, connection, and workplace culture through the lens of the book "Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us" by Seth Godin.
In this episode, I share the raw, real-life parallels between what Godin teaches in his book and the very experiences that led me to create KimUnity Soulutions. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, silenced, or stuck in a system that punishes innovation and rewards silence, this one is for you.
We’re talking about why leadership is not reserved for titles, how workplace trauma creates entrepreneurs, and how so many of us are quietly building something greater from the ashes of toxic corporate experiences. I open up about the emotional toll, the resistance I faced, and how I continued to show up with integrity, even when it cost me.
For my change agents out there, those who challenge the status quo, who ask the hard questions, and who lead from the middle or bottom, we see you. You are not alone. This episode is both your affirmation and your call to rise.
If you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet (Episode 80), go back and start there. You’ll get the full foundation for this real, relatable, and truth-telling conversation. Trust me, it’s worth it.
✨ Bonus: I also introduce my new Questions & Perspectives card deck created to rebuild broken connections and start real conversations in workplaces, families, and communities.
🎧 Tune in, take notes, and share this with a leader in your life who needs a reminder that their voice matters.

The Power of Perspectives
In this episode of the KimUnity Soulutions Podcast, host Kim the SME challenges the traditional notion of “Questions and Answers” by offering a more meaningful alternative: Questions and Perspectives. Drawing from real-life experiences in the workplace and everyday interactions, Kim explores how shifting our mindset to embrace diverse viewpoints can lead to deeper understanding, stronger collaboration, and more impactful problem-solving.
From corporate decision-making to personal conversations, Kim reflects on how perspectives, shaped by our lived and unlived experiences, allow us to build bridges where answers alone can build walls. She shares a powerful story about a speech that unexpectedly expanded her own view, revealing how cultural context shapes everything, even the way we honor our elders.
Kim introduces her Questions & Perspectives conversation card deck as a tool for creating connection beyond surface-level small talk. These cards are designed to spark thoughtful dialogue, challenge assumptions, and help teams, families, and communities grow together through empathy and insight.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, unheard, or misunderstood, or if you’re ready to deepen your connections and lead with intention, this episode is for you.

Wasted Talent: When Purpose Gets Misused, Misplaced, or Misunderstood
In this episode of KimUnity Soulutions, your host Kim the SME unpacks a powerful and sometimes painful truth: how natural gifts like charisma, creativity, vision, and even emotional intelligence can sometimes be misused, misunderstood, or hidden behind survival tactics, fear, or performance.
Have you ever met someone who’s clearly gifted, but their energy causes harm to either themselves or others? Maybe that someone is you. From the charismatic manipulator to the over-performing employee, the visionary who doesn't act, and the empath who forgets themselves, Kim sees and speaks to them all.
This episode is an invitation for self-awareness, not judgment. Through relatable workplace experiences and heartfelt storytelling, Kim gently challenges us to reclaim our purpose and use our talents to uplift, not undermine. She reminds us that our energy and our presence matters, and that how we use our gifts can either build connection or contribute to chaos.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, misused your own potential, known someone who has, or wanted to help someone find a better path, this one’s for you.
✨ Key Takeaways:
Talents can be used for good or ill; awareness is the difference.
Performers and strategists alike must check their motives and energy.
Vision without action is just imagination.
Being ethical means speaking up, not staying silent.
Empaths must remember that caring for others starts with caring for self.
Every gift, no matter how small, can be a tool for transformation.
